Early this morning, the 10m Air Rifle competition started off with a bang. Du Li, the Chinese, medalist in Athens, found herself trailing by 2 points in the final round, and sadly did not even medal, with a disappointing 5th place. The honours of the first gold went to Katerina Emmons, representing the Czech republic.

Beautifully choreographed from start to finish the Opening Ceremonies were a visual delight.
